Jacques Bled and Rodolphe Chabrier
Founded in 1986, the MacGuff studio rapidly became a major actor on the animation and visual effects scene.
From Jean-Baptiste Mondino or Philippe Stark to Pierre Coffin, Matthieu Kassovitz, Jean Paul Goude, Michel Ocelot, Gaspar Noé or Jan Kounen, all of those genius masters of animation come from MacGuff. Indeed, MacGuff’s savoir-faire, attention and tools enable them to develop their ideas.
In 2008, Chris Meledandri gets closer to Mac Guff in order to direct “Despicable Me” before purchasing in 2011 the animation feature film department and founding Illumination Mac Guff. Today, Illumination Mac Guff is one of the most important animation studios in the world and the Mac Guff company, which is staying an independent actor in the industry, is among the most renowned visual effects studios in Europe.
