This event is co-jointly organized and sponsored by the CCG Expo Committee and Foreign Cultural Exchanges Bureau of Ministry of Culture of the PRC. Through industrial keynote speech, case study and roundtable discussion, the purpose of this Forum was to share the development experience of the Chinese and foreign comics and games industry.
Yann Marchet, General Delegate of PIDS, has presented « The good reasons to build a partnership between China and Europe in Animation» but also the opportunities of cooperation between France and China.
Animation holds 15% of the Chinese box office and could allow to avoid a slump of the domestic box office receipts. The Chinese audience is increasingly demanding of high quality content. With the copro treaty France/China, the 30% tax rebate for International productions and its animation studios with a world-class quality (Illumination Mac Guff, Mikros Image, TeamTO, Cube Creative…), France can become a key partner for the Chinese animation industry.
